The 8th Board Meeting of the Integrative Internal Security Governance Initiative was held on 19 May 2026, bringing together representatives of the Western Balkans partners, the European Commission and Regional Cooperation Council to discuss key strategic developments within the IISG framework.

The IISG Secretariat conducted consultations with Bosnia and Herzegovina WBCTi governance structures within the framework of ongoing RCC Security Governance Hub activities related to the implementation and monitoring of the Joint Action Plan on Preventing and Countering of Terrorism and Violent Extremism for the Western Balkans.

The meeting gathered representatives of the Ministry of Security of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Government CERT, and the IISG Secretariat to discuss developments related to the Cybersecurity Pillar and the IISG Cybersecurity Database.

The IISG Secretariat conducted consultations with Albanian governance structures in Tirana within the framework of regular engagement with Western Balkans partners and ongoing activities under the RCC Security Governance Hub.

The meeting gathered representatives of Western Balkans partners, European Union institutions, international organizations, and implementing partners engaged in the implementation of the Joint Action Plan on Preventing and Countering of Terrorism and Violent Extremism for the Western Balkans

The IISG Secretariat participated in two regional cybersecurity coordination events held at the premises of the Western Balkans Cyber Capacity Centre (WB3C) in Podgorica, Montenegro, aimed at strengthening regional cooperation, donor coordination, and cyber resilience in the Western Balkans.

The Integrative Internal Security Governance (IISG) Secretariat successfully organized and facilitated the Coordinator Meeting (14 October) and the 18th Regional Network of National CT-P/CVE Coordinators (RNNC) Meeting (15 October 2025) in Skopje, North Macedonia.

The IISG Secretariat organized the Regional Pillar Support Group Meeting under the Western Balkans Counter-Serious Crime Initiative (WBCSCi), bringing together representatives of Western Balkan partners and international stakeholders engaged in the fight against serious and organized crime.
